Meet Raven!

Dear Future Client,

You are not here because you are broken. You are here because something just doesn’t feel right. Maybe you feel like something in the present shouldn’t bother you but it does. You are questioning why you can’t get over this pattern that keeps cycling over and over again in your life. Instead of accepting that life has to feel this way, know that there is something you can do. Let’s take the first steps to start your journey to healing and find peace in accepting who you are.

I am a compassionate and non-judgmental therapist who uses CBT, Psychodynamic, Person-Centered, HBLU, and Strength Focused therapies to achieve meaningful change in my clients' lives. I enjoy supporting individuals and families, ages 5 and up, as they connect with and understand the power one holds when they are bonded and supportive of one another. In our session, you have as much control over the session as I do, so come and relieve yourself of expectations. To my future clients, let me provide you with a safe non-judgmental space where you can be free to let down your guard and speak your truth. Let’s do the hard work together to process the realities of your world and celebrate each success while acknowledging and addressing the areas of improvement.

Best Regards,

Raven Tanyhill

FAQ

Raven's Therapeutic Approaches

Person-Centered Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

A Rogerian humanistic therapeutic approach where the client is an expert on themselves. The counselor recognizes that the person has the potential for change, and provides them with unconditional positive regard and empathy to provide a supportive environment in which they can grow and change for themselves.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Utilizing the process of thoughts to help one understand their actions and behaviors. This approach helps individuals to  have deeper understanding of themselves while helping them to change and unwanted behavior.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Psychodynamic Therapy

An approach to therapy that focuses on the understanding that there are unconscious processes that manifest in the client's behavior, and takes a holistic perspective of the client’s life experience. The counselor interprets the mental and emotional processes that are occurring for the client rather than focusing on the behaviors while supporting the client in identifying patterns in their emotions, thoughts, and beliefs to gain insight.

Multicultural Therapy

Healing from the Body Level UP (HBLU)

Psychodynamic Therapy

A therapy based upon cultural assessment and philosophy that understands that individuals act from varied social contexts and world-views. The counselor holds the understanding that culturally (and also racially) diverse clients view the world through different lenses from each other and that the difficulties being faced are different for each person due to experiencing them from the unique perspective of that person's culture.

HBLU incorporates a unique and comprehensive healing system that integrates Dr.  Judith Swack's original research with tools from biomedical science, psychology, applied kinesiology, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Energy Psychology, and several spiritual-based healing systems. This form of therapy uses muscle testing to  connect client's with their deepest wisdom, find the patterns that interfere with their goals, and share with them techniques for healing on the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual levels simultaneously.  This therapy can be used  target goal and clearing negative emotions, sabotage programs, trauma, physical injury trauma, blocked access patterns, boundary issues and phobias.

Princessa is trained in HBLU  by Dr. Judith Swack.

Healing from the Body Level UP (HBLU)

Feminist therapy focuses on the role that gender plays and the very specific challenges that people face in the world resulting from bias, oppression, power and control, discrimination, and other factors that affect their mental health. It was created primarily for women but has evolved to include people of all ages and gender expressions and identities who want to explore the role that gender lays in their lives and relationships.
